Wrap Up: The Garrett Sydney Jamboree 2026

Wrap Up: The Garrett Sydney Jamboree 2026

We had planned to test on Thursday and Friday leading into race day on Saturday, but unfortunately the weather had other ideas.

In Qualifying 1, the car made a sudden move at the 330ft mark, forcing us to abort the run. Qualifying 2 was looking promising until, once again at the 330ft mark, we experienced what we believe was a lash cap failure, causing the engine to backfire and blow the burst panel.

Back in the pits, the team got straight to work, replacing the left-side cylinder head. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and had to sit out Round 1. We made it out for Round 2, but the car pulled hard left off the hit, leading to another aborted run.

At that point, we decided to call it a day and focus on fixing the car and making the necessary changes to address the issues.

It was a tough weekend for Joe and the team, but we will regroup, make improvements, and come back stronger with a more consistent setup.

A huge thanks to everyone who supported us and made the weekend worthwhile despite the challenges.
