The comeback we have all been waiting for ...

After a year of hard work, late nights in the workshop, and more than a few setbacks, Joe’s 1967 Mustang finally made its triumphant return to the track — at the 2025 Garrett Brisbane Jamboree at Willowbank Raceway.

This was not just a weekend of racing. It was a massive milestone for Joe and the Profab Motorsport Fabrications team — a celebration of resilience, horsepower, and the incredible community that supports grassroots motorsport.

What a return!

Following a tough test session on Friday, Joe and the Profab Motorsport Fabrications team made key chassis and tuning adjustments in preparation for Saturday’s qualifying. Their efforts paid off as Joe qualified 9th out of 17 cars with a solid 5.95 at 181 MPH.

On race day Sunday, the team made further chassis tweaks that delivered results. Joe won two of three races, consistently clocking times in the 5-second range. The night ended on a high note with a thrilling side-by-side pass against Craig Burns. Joe ran a 5.77 at 218 MPH — his first full pass since the accident — marking a major milestone for Joe and the entire Profab Motorsport Fabrications team.

Why this matters

It is not just about the numbers or the win lights. Seeing Joe behind the wheel again — confident, calm, and smiling — meant everything.

We have had ups and downs, but this weekend reminded us why we do this: the love of cars, racing, and the community around it.

Thank you

Big shoutout to:

  • Everyone who helped wrench on the car.
  • The teams and volunteers who made the 2025 Garrett Brisbane Jamboree such a killer event.
  • The fans who cheered us on and reminded us what this scene is all about.

What is next?

We are already back in the workshop, going over the data, looking for the next tenths to shave off. But for now, we are riding high on what this weekend meant for us. Joe’s 1967 Mustang is back … And we are just getting started!
