Jamboree at Dragway at The Bend

Another challenging but memorable weekend for Joe Gauci and our team!
After two days of testing leading up to race day, we made several changes to the car setup and engine management on our ’67 Eleanor Profab Pro Mod Mustang. The adjustments paid off early — delivering personal bests in the 60ft, 330ft, and 660ft. Things were looking very promising heading into race day.
Unfortunately, it did not quite go our way once racing began. We battled severe tyre shake at the 60ft, and later discovered damaged front struts from excessive travel were preventing the car from performing as it should.
Despite the setbacks, Joe still managed to claim Best Reaction Time with an incredible .003 light!
Overall, it was a fantastic trip away and an awesome experience racing at Dragway at The Bend, one of Australia’s newest car racing venues in Tailem Bend, South Australia.
Meanwhile, Keith Hards was also in action in J275 with his Ford Falcon (XW) — and he delivered in style, taking the win and bringing home another Billet J!
Congratulations to Keith and his team on an outstanding result!
