A hot and wild Radial Riot at Willowbank Raceway!

What started as three successful days of testing for our team — with Paul Merry in his Chevrolet Nova, Warren Allen in his Dodge Avenger, Tim Cross in his Ford Cortina (TC), and Keith Hards in his Ford Falcon (XW) — set the stage for an action-packed weekend.

Paul Merry was back to his consistent ways during testing, clocking strong passes in the heat and running a best of 3.75 @ 208 MPH. Unfortunately, come race day, we could not quite find the same rhythm we had during testing.

Warren Allen finally debuted his newly built Dodge Avenger! Like any new build, we faced a few teething issues but managed to work through them. Warren laid down one solid full pass — a 4.17 @ 191 MPH — before a broken tailshaft uni brought his weekend to an early end.

Tim Cross had a fantastic weekend in his Ford Cortina (TC) competing in OG315. We made a few suspension changes before race day to help keep him consistently running 4.3s in the heat. Tim qualified 2nd and won all his races, but a transbrake issue unfortunately ended his run.

Keith Hards also impressed in OG275 with his Ford Falcon (XW), qualifying 1st with a 4.61. He went on to win two out of three races, but it was not quite enough to make the finals.
